How to increase Oyster reporting frequency using Telematics Guru

Introduction

Scope:
This guide provides step by step instructions on how to increase the reporting frequency of an Oyster Sigfox if an asset is stolen and needs to be recovered.

Overall Procedure:
● Login to the platform
● Send the new configuration to the device
● Wait until the new configuration is received
● Revert back to the default configuration when the asset is retrieved

Detailed Procedure:

Login
Step 1: Login into the Telematics.Guru platform with the URL provided to you by email.

Step 2: Click on Admin and Sigfox Downlink

Step 3: Search for your asset with the Sigfox ID or its Name (if you have defined one)
Step 4: Select your asset
Step 5: Click on “Send Configuration” on the top right corner

Step 6: Click on the drop down button and Select “Set Trip Parameters”

Step 7: Select the “Time Between Fix Attempts In-Trip (using uplink budget)” to the frequency of reporting you need (say 30 seconds if an asset gets stolen)
Step 8: Click on the OK button in the bottom right corner


When the asset is retrieved, repeat the process from the beginning to update the reporting frequency to its normal value 
(e.g. 1h when in a trip).
